This film expresses the charms of an essential skateboard experience: connecting with friends and cruising through a sweet urban landscape. Free Pegasus lends viewers a taste of the warm and juicy skateboard metropolis that is Barcelona, Spain. American professional skateboarders Clint Peterson and Cooper Wilt join Barcelona locals Luypa Sin, Marcus Mueller, Daniel Lebron and others to cruise and session many of Barcelona’s reliable plazas and neighborhoods. This story charts non-members of a charmed life who make their way to skate and meet up for sunset. Pro’s and bros alike are protagonists. All us nerds ride the same schnarff and speak the basic syntax. Marbles rolling down a hill, 12 degree pitch, and that’s it. Then, the skateboarding spirit chills for a sec as everyone gathers to share food and music into the evening. The gypsy-waltz marching tones of Beirut, the robust poetry of Akron Family, and the local flavor of live recorded Flamenco guitar music all contribute towards an upbeat and European-flavored musical score. This film has been shot with color-adjusted video cameras to create the effect of super-saturated 16mm film. Total running time is 36 minutes.
